Re: New Ranchu :)
Just a little update
I now have the two Ranchus, my calico "Fuji" and my red-cap "MotoMoto". Moto is quite a bit smaller than Fuji, mainly not having a big round belly, or not quite as round. I thought that this was mainly because Fuji could be older.
But after some pestering from Moto, I went to look at breeding behaviours of Ranchu and how to sex. It seems I have a sexually mature boy and girl! Moto being the boy! It's unlikely that I'll get any fry, as they tend to eat their eggs as soon as they come out :p
Did a little vent check by holding them in a net while they're fully submerged and towards the front glass. The female, Fuji, has a convex vent, so it protrudes, and the male, Moto, has a concave, so it is intruded.
Exciting, but Moto seems to be really pestering her, so I don't want her to get stressed out >_>
Anyway! Got my new apple snails to grow up first!

Sounds good. Like you said i doubt you will get any fry in the tank because even if the goldfish dont eat the eggs any fry will be destroyed by the WCMMs.
