Is this normal?

I was just looking at the bettas on ebay before i went to bed and noticed this male betta, i dont know if its just me (and tell me if it is) but is this male really a double tail as it looks as if a chunk of tail is missing in the middle!! as there doesnt look as if there is any tail finnage in the middle!

I really find it bizarre. On the last pic the "lobes" look quite equal but don't see how this can be a natural DT???

Not sure about his/her fish tbh

to me, that look like a HM with terrible tail damage. I don't think the body shape is right for a natural DT.
