How to tell when something is ok to put in the tank?
I've seen lots of nice little bits and bobs made out of clay, porcelain, plastic etc. that I'd love to put in a tank, but how will I know when something is safe/unsafe?

Im not sure there is a way to tell. Some will be fine some wont. I would be wary of putting anything clay or plastic that isnt a real aquarium decoration n a tank. Clay and plastic plant pots will work though.

Ooh ok :D How about glass? I found some nice glass sea shells on ebay that could look really nice.
I'm still looking for a red or white hide, too xD

As long as you give it a really good scrub it should be fine.
