Started a Sority!
Hey all, I know some of you may remember when i did a female betta sority with an 80l tank..I'm now doing another well it's already set up, and if i don't say so myself, it's looking good haha. It's an 125l tank, i have 3 bunches of cambomba plants, 3 fake plants, a cocunut, a nice big tresure chest with a hole in, i have little ceramic plant pots placed down everywhere, to be used as tunnels or whatever the bettas want to do with the, and i have an airstone. The cambomba is what i got today, and i it has until tuesday to grow alot more, i have 56W of light so hopefully it will shoot up by the time the bettas arrive on tuesday! I will post a picture tomorrow to show you it!
Because of the tank being so big, i realize i could have alot of female bettas, but by tuesday i should have 5 or 6 bettas in the sority, but obviously will be trying to get more as time goes by.

Wow sounds like there's a lot of thought and work gone into your sorority, looking forward to seeing photos too.

Re: Started a Sority!
Right, finally pictures!
The cambomba should grow more once it's settled, today i seperated a few bits that were shed from the light so here's hoping this tanks a success and the fish are happy in it. It will be home to 5 female bettas, i know it's a small number but its a starting point i will try get more as time goes on but pet shops don't sell them anywhere i know around here.

Looks great so far! Plenty of potential to add more plants too and create hiding places!
If you have transport, there's a shop in Bolton which always has females, it's not too far to drive from Cheshire.

Your sorority looks great, I'd love to have something that big for mine! Chuck some mossballs in there if you're still looking for new live plants. They're hardy, need no attention from you, and they'll help eat some nitrates and oxygenate your water :-)
