Well after a lot of thought and a lot of asking questions, i bought 2 baby BN's this afternoon and i cant get over how cute they are! It was a choice between the BN's i bought and the albino BN's tough choice but heres the babies i bought:

I love watching them i just stand there and stare at them then they shuffle away and then they are back. The female bettas just keep starring at them too...i bet they are thinking what the heck are those in our tank,lol!!!

you went for BNs. How big are they? They are great when young there alot more active and just move none stop. If you stand there watching 2 imagine what its like when theres 100+ in the tank haha. My bn fry LOVE bloodworms they can only just fit them in and it gives tem fat little bellies but ive never seen a fish go so mental for them the second i drop some in they all swarm around it had theres a little scrap to see who can eat it first.

They are only small id say about 2cm to 3cm long. The ones i saw that where £10 where about 8cm long. I got these 2 little un's for £8. I love them already Love

Thats a fairly good price. Now you just have to hope you havent go to males or there could be trouble. The one thing i will warn you about is make sure you keep your hands well clear of there fins same as all catfish they have needle sharp fins ive been caught a few times by adult and fry and ill tell you one thing you dont do it for a while after that it stings ridiculously. But apart from that there great fish.

2 females are normally fin sometimes theres the odd push just to sow who dominant but i havent had a single problem with my 2. Its just 2 males you dont want in a tank under 40G imo because they can be quite territorial when they want to.

Haha. You should be able to tell about 2-3" so still a long time yet. They are great little fish.

I get worried when i dont see them i like to see em at least once a day but they like hiding, lol! One of them has taken a shine to the out pipe on the external filter.

They will be hiding munching on something. You can miss them in my tank there every where. Its weird you say that all the bns ive added to the tank always spend the first fed days around the intake pipe for the filter must be something they like about it.

Well been watching my little BN's over the past week one seems to be a darker colour than the other so sweet though.

My daughter blurted out earlier "ewww look at that fish on the glass its got green poo!!!"

Quite alot of them do loose the spots with age so it could just be ones starting to loose them. I dont know if you have notice the white tips to there fins they sometimes go with age aswell but others will keep them for life.

Haha. Yeah it does tend to come out the colour of what they have been eating.

I love their spots they are fab but one of them looks bigger than a week ago, i love watching their little mouths on the glass.

They do grow fast when young, Ones they get to about 2-3" they slow down alot and bulk out alot . My glass is covered in little mouths haha. they are wieard to watch though. Just wait until you get huge 6" bn mouths all over the glass.
