Do you ship your babies to the UK Mike? [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
What's your opinion on the Demasoni compared to the cobalt blue?
Both fish are very nice, but if I were you i'd go with victorian cichlids,
the colour on them is fantastic and they are not overly aggressive,
probably the nearest thing to marines you can get from a fresh water fish.
If you are interested let me know and i'll put you on to a good source!
Here's a cherry red as an example ...

We looked at that picture last night on the photo forum:) I like it, but Netty is adamant she wants "Blue" fish, typical!

What is it with women and colours, lmao. ok in a 40g I would go with
the Pseudotropheus demasoni, they don't get to big, around 4"
but they are aggressive for their size and are best kept in large groups.
Re: Some Frontosas for Netty!
Thanks Mike
As stunning as the Cherry Red is.....I think I would still end up hankering after blue fish :lol!:
I know the Demasoni are quite aggressive.....but does that mean I could potentially lose a few of them because of it?

Re: Some Frontosas for Netty!
I think if you set up correctly for them you should be fine Netty,
lot's of rock work and hiding places and a large group of Demasoni
to keep the aggression down should do the trick!

Re: Some Frontosas for Netty!
It sounds abit like the Betta babies. We normally separate them at 8 weeks but this last spawn was huge and we had 100 babies in the 3 ft growout with less aggression than we've ever had.
I've heard that some people keep yellow labs with the demasoni. Good or bad in your opinion? I know your supposed to avoid anything that looks similar to them.

Yellow labs are not nearly as aggressive but they seem to get on with
most mbuna, you could try a few for a bit of colour contrast!
