I was sure 1 was heading straight for it earlier on. He swam right up to it & then sort of backed up and skirted around him. Gutted. Smile

Sorry you lost one hun, sadly it happens often with puffs. Best of luck with the trio though x

So I went on a trawl today to buy some foods for the puffs - I got frozen krill, raw prawn and raw squid. I was looking specifically for live Daphnia but couldn't find it in any of the LPS or LFS. I looked on eBay for some live Daphnia but could only find bags of 100ml. I'm imagining that this is way too much for 3 puffs & it won't keep very long once opened? Any suggestions folks?? x

100ml bags would be ok - you can dump a bag into the tank and let them eat as they want because the daphnia will last quite a while in the tank water - they don't do well in the packets for long because the water fouls fast.

So if I order 100ml on eBay and just dump the entire contents into the water when they arrive?

Would I have to supplement their diet while these wee things are in the tank or just leave it up to them to eat those wee things? I'm imagining that during the weekly gravel vac it would get rid of the remainder.

They should eat them quite quickly as they are pretty small and puffers are greedy lol. Any that die before being eaten will be sucked up with the water change
