Post by Nataliey on Tue Oct 05, 2010 9:30 pm

With advise from Kiz about what kinda fruit and veg a BN can eat iv been seeing what mine like and dont like...

...Iv tried...
a peeled grape ~ which they loved (so did the female bettas!)
Strawberry ~ not that keen as it didnt vanish like the grape did!
Courgette ~ they liked
Cucumber ~ they loved that as did my bettas too.
Broccoli ~ not bothered at all

today i tried them with sweet potato, the female bettas are always interested with things that get dropped in but the BN's like it too here's a photo of the biggest having a munch...

Okay thats good to know, i was thinking of trying melon as the kids eat that a lot.
I rarely buy spinach but could get a little bit for them.

Melon works great aswell. You can freeze it so all you have to do is take a leaf out at a time so it last agers. Try to get stuff that hant had chemicals sprayed on it and make sure you wash it really well.
