2.5 gallon ideas??
I've been terrified to put my fishy back into the 2.5 USG tank I have...seems every time a fish goes in there something bad happens and I DO wash it out with super hot salt water and rinse it like you wouldn't believe....not to mention the heaters I have aren't strong enough to heat it.
So here's what I wanna know....
What other kind of pet can I put in it? It's a typical 2.5 gallon tank, not a lot of floor space. Something that's way super-easy to care for without all this PH water fuss and everything and something not fuzzy 'cause my mom is highly allergic to fuzzy critters. And not fish...I'm having a hard enough time with Alpha as it is.

How about triops or sea monkeys? Triops are really interesting and only need the occassional water change and food every other day or so. They live for 1-2 months but when they die you can dry out the substrate and hatch their eggs a week later :D

Triops are a great idea but correct me if im wrong i think they are even more fussy over water conditions than most fish.

Mine weren't fussy at all, had them in unheated and unfiltered water and lived for over 2 months
You have to try quite hard to kill them really, they're very hardy from what experience I've had.

They seem really hardy, I topped up their food whenever it ran out, water changed once or twice a month and they lived way over their expected age limit, the oldest one died at about 3 and a half months old

How about a mystery snail and a couple ghost and/or cherry shrimp? I love my mystery snails. Easy to care for. Beautiful, elegant and fun to watch. Gentle and sweet. They love veggies, especially lettuce, spinach and cucumbers. They will eat algae wafers and regular fish food too. I keep one to a tank and they don't reproduce. They do need some heat though. Mine do well at 78F. I don't have shrimp but I know people who do and they are very interesting too.
