Hello from NJ

Just wanted to say hi to everyone and thank those who have already given me advice and tips! I got my Crown-tail Betta, Finnegin, in August. I never believed fish HAD "personalities" until I got this little guy home! He quickly overtook my heart...with my wallet close behind! LOL Finnegin is a busy bubble-nest builder and active swimmer. At first, he didn't like his blood worms and shrimp, but now they're a real treat in between his pellets and once-a-week pea (well, 1/3 of a pea ;-)
As for me, I'm a legal secretary and "Army wife" ... it go SO boring with my guy deployed and away from home so much, that I decided to bring Finnegin home. He's great company --and caring for him is a nice diversion from the boredom of being home alone. For some reason, he REALLY loves watching my "24" dvd's --whenever I put one in, he swims to the highest leaf and settles in and stares at the tv for hours. He's a little character! Anyway, hello to everyone and good luck with your "babies"

Hello! I used to be in the RAF before I settled down with my man. Being 3-9 months away from him would rip my heart out. It's tougher for those left behind, never knowing what's going on until you get a bluey! It sounds like Finnegan is doing a great job in the mean-time. Aren't they fab little characters? It's funny he watches 24. I'll have to try various series on mine. At the moment, they get CSI whether they like it or not!
