Tank conditions (normal??)
Thanks to all for the heater/temperature advice of yesterday. As a follow up question, I noticed when I put my hand in the tank to raise the heater adjustment, it felt "slimy" ...so did the surface of his larger/flat resting rocks and hiding caves. The water looks clean; I siphon out his "droppings" and monitor his eating (he doesn't miss a crumb!) ...so does anyone know: "Why the slimy feel?"
Should I remove things and wash them in hot water? ...Finnegin's only been in this new 10 gal. tank for 2 weeks!

You can wash them if you want, it's quite normal though and I thnk it's the "biofilm" coating the objects, so not harmful
