Haha. Masked puffers are one of my favourite. I saw a load in Egypt and they are absolutely stunning.

You got to see them in their real surroundings. Aquatic raccoons!

I got an unexpected lead on Geos. Tapajos Redheads today. Evidently a
adult pair which I'm nowhere near ready for of course! The good news is
its a local breeder with an F1 spawn! I might be acquiring a contact for
Redheads and who knows what else.

Sounds great. Its always good to know where you can get them for once the tanks ready. I wish i could find a F1 pair but i think im just going to have to gor for a group of F1 fry.

Hold onto your hat I just had another thought. I'm toying with the idea of possibly picking
up some Redhead fry and starting them in the 20gl. until I can find a larger tank. Even if I have
to graduate to a 55gl. and then to a 75+ gl..

The Red Acaras are still #1 ATM
Apistos #2 (I don't want blood on my hands from killing your favorite fish!)
#3 would be the Redhead Fry
Back at #4 would be the Rams
Coming in as a long shot at #5 would be some brand of Killifish!

That could work. Their very slow growing so should be able to stay in there for a while.

haha Apisto are very hard to kill aslong as you get healthy ones with a good strain not all inbreed. Killis would be cool but dont beat cichlids IMO.

Well my5gl. seems to be cycled for the last several days. Been adding ammonia daily and its gone within 24 hrs.. No nitrites register either and
the nitrates are minimal. One more test and will be moving Sterling in.

Saturday should be payday and I will look for possible tank mates to insure
enough waste for the continuation of the cycle. Would be nice if they had Pygmy Corys!

Now that I've gone through it and understand the process more it should
be a breeze in the future.

Might try to get sand for the twenty gl. this weekend so I can start it. Might
as well do another 10gl. too! I guess I do't need the sand to start it off.

Yeah
Sounds good. You probably could do it then add the sand later one but it would cloud the water.

I only got work 2 days this week. It really puts a damper on any fish funding I'd planned on. 2 days because of holiday and then snow 1 day. 2-3" of
snow and the city literally shuts down. Albeit there are hills all over around here.

Thats a shame but atleast its a few more days of planning haha.
It sounds like its snowed every where except here. Ive had about 1mm of snow it was more of a heavy frost. Where as all the places around us have had 2-3" of snow.
