That is an understatement!!! My ex bf's mum brought me my first betta back in May for my birthday and the poor thing only lasted 3days. I got so upset i gave up entirely. But she has a collection of her own and after spending so much time with her watching hers it was only a matter of time before i got back on the horse. And when i did, i found that just one or two did not satisfy the craving! Embarassed

It is so nice and refreshing to see a forum that is more about caring and breeding bettas. Everything ive stumbled on thus far has been about betta fighting and that just breaks my heart to see that people put the males together just to see them fight Sad The lil buggers have a way of swimming into your heart and it would break mine to see any of my babies getting ripped apart.

suffering from really bad snow
Jealous! I have never seen the snow!!

I know what you mean about the fighting of bettas its so upsetting Sad id rescued a betta from a petshop that had been taken in by someone that didnt want the male anymore but he'd been ripped to shreds as the person had made the little one fight!
The shop owner gave him to me for free i named him Ragga~Muffin he had big puppy dog sad eyes that looked up at me whenever id feed him.
I noticed strange behavour like swimming a full 360 but someone told me that some get trained to do that if they fight!
He died a while back now id had him about 3-4 months i gave him as much as i could but sadly he died Sad

In that short period of time i believe you would have made up for the awful things the previous owners put him through hug

I know, tell me about it ... and all for the fun of it, and perhaps a little money making. How can people be so heartless and cruel??!!
