Tiny Cory To Be Identified Later!

Post by 2tall on Wed Jan 05, 2011 8:26 pm

I was at Walmart earlier today and saw a cory all by its lonesome. Well no other corys with him. I almost
picked him up, but I know they do better in groups. I passed then realized he could be without here in
the 2gl. hex with Sterling until I upgrade the hex. Hes only 1.5 cm long and so active. Should I?

Could you not put it in the 10G with the pygmys? Even in with a different type of corys would be better than on its own.

I have the choice of the 5gl. with 4 pygmys or the divided 10 with a full
grown pepper cory. All tanks have a male Betta. I did go to Google Images
and I'm pretty sure its a bronze by the horizontal splotch. Lighter in colour
than the photo.

Bronze corys get to a similar size to peppers so i think in the 10G with them would be the best place for it.

Theres some good info and pics on there here

I'm not going back today, but I'll think it over tonight. I don't work tomorrow
as the job was completed yesterday. My poor fish fund!

I suppose I could start looking for the odd corys out(loners)and pool them
all together and have a mixed group. Orphanage for misplace corys! lol!

Haha, It is best to stick to atleast 4 of each type but if there the only ones atleast a few corys of other types will be better than on its own.
