Ive bathed my 2 remaining girls in pimafix treatment for the day just cleaned/steralized the tank and sand, put them back in the tank and 
the parasites fallen off them leaving me with 2 healthy fishies although i had 7 females and only 2 left :/

no signs of nastiness on the girlies and with a nice new filter media its hopeful; tho the tank looks far too quiet now
