Snails on the Uprise!

Snails on the Uprise!
What can one do to rid a tank of snails or to hold them at bay( I doubt this is possible)?
I will be planting the tank soon so will be able to remove most, but I'm sure I won't be able to capture
all the smaller ones. There are several tiny ones on the plants with more on the way I imagine.
They are holding hands so to speak as I write this. They have no shame! lol

Re: Snails on the Uprise!
My 15gal had loads of them (50+) i added 10 Assasin Snails about a week ago and haven't seen more than 1-2 since. I hate the look of snails but the Assasins/Bumble Bee are rather nice, i have really taken to them

I heard the Assassins being mentioned before and was reminded. I'll see if
I can find them locally. I'd rather have the Assassins snails than be the assassin!! Thanks!

Re: Snails on the Uprise!
I found Assassin snails on the first phone call this afternoon. Will pick 1 or 2
up tomorrow morning. I thought it might be more difficult than that!

Re: Snails on the Uprise!
They have an elongated pointed shell which is quite rough, and they're yellow and dark brown striped all up the shell. The max size is about 1" shell, so they stay small.
Re: Snails on the Uprise!
and they don't breed like rabbits, i have eggs already but aparrently they take 6-9 weeks to hatch then you don't see them for months until they are about 1cm
