Hello all.
My name is Maryellen and I'm a bettaholic---proudly so.
Even though I've only had this addition for less than a year, I've become quite passionate about it. I.m blaming my youngest son for this. lol He asked me to baby sit his betta while he was away for a couple of weeks. I was like ok, didn't think there was much to it. I have a tendency to go whole hog when I start something, so in addition to his instructions I did some research on line. Well you all know all the input I was able to find. Boy was I wrong. I had no idea of the care, history, kinds etc... What fun! The best is their fun little personalities. Its a whole new world for me. I didn't realize how attached I'd become to my Fury (betta) until my son came to take him back. I didn't want to let the little bugger go!. My son laughed and said I should just go buy myself a betta. So I did. That was the start, Now I have 8. 2 girls and 6 males. I love them all and enjoy caring for and learning new things them.

Welcome to Paradise. A great place to share and learn about Bettas.
I bought my 1st one a little over a year ago. I've been bitten too. So much
for a no hassle and cheap pet! Now I have four males with more on the way
in the mail! Another male, several females and I'll be complete. Yeah, right!

Thank you for the welcomes.
I'll do my best with the pictures. It's hit or miss getting good ones when their in the tanks. If I could only train them to "stay"! Ha.

Thanks Ethan. I love it here, and you're right the bettas do too. What part of fl. are you in? Are you breeding or just keeping pets?
I haven't tied breeding yet. I'm still learning and absorbing all the info I can get. This site has been very helpful. Thanks everyone!
