I think iv a problem with my female brown she's not been her normal self doesnt look to be growing much either, looks a little pale brown...wishy washy! I did have to move this male as it was too cramped with her and 2 males in the tank so moved him and now she's kinda not her self is it coz iv moved him??

Sounds a bit weird for a fish but maybe it is just a little lonely. Is there any wood in the tank? If theres no or only bog wood it might be worth finding a bit of oak or something because it might be having problems with digestion which would explain why its pale and not eating. Its suprising how much wood they actually eat, it wasnt till the other day when i moved round a few bits in the tank i realised. The its that had been under that sand where atleast a 1cm wider than where the fish where able to get to and shew on.

I found her this morning dead i knew she wasnt herself, iv a big chunk of wood in the tank they always seem to be chomping on it or at least sitting on it! Dont know if it bog or driftwood, i think il invest in some oak if i can find some, there's a wood near by need to go see.

Thats a shame :/ was there any other signs of illness? Yeah they love to chew on oak the problem with bogwood is its a bit on the hard side for them to eat properly.

Im gutted as she was my first female BN Sad Im now hoping my albino BN's turn out to both be girls their not old enough yet to see.

She had no obvious signs i only knew something was wrong when she turned that wishy washy colour as she ate the food fine my male BN with her is fine growing quickly and pretty big, they where from the same spawn so brother and sister. He's starting to get more and more bristles but not as many as my bigger male yet.

Its a shame to loose any fish especially one in that way. You got some albinos in the end then? how big are they?

Might have been internal bacteria or something like that then hich would explain why it wasnt growing aswell and why there was no obvious signs of illness

Im really protective over my BN's as i love fish with sucker mouths! Shocked So im really sad she died. My albinos are still only young about 2cm long one of them is bulking out wide ways a bit like my brown female did when she was younger so im hoping its female.
