Hi there
Hi there guys ( and gals)
I'm new to this forum but I've read a few threads and everyone seems friendly and helpful.
I've been keeping fish for about 2 years and am really loving it. I have a 140 ltr tank in my living room with malawis in it. My son has a 30 ltr community tank with a few neons and cories and I've also got two 10 ltr tanks with to red veiltails.
I love Bettas so much that I have decided to surrender my spare room to breeding them purely for a hobby and with a view to showing them in a couple of generations time if all goes well.
My VTs are obviously not ideal for breeding and showing so I have done lots and lots of research. I have two pairs on order from thailand through my local shop. They are two sibling pairs, 1 pair of HM and 1 pair of CT. My local LFS was really interested in buying any fish i produce that I don't want so he is not making a profit on the 2 pairs.
I look forward to chatting to you all and posting pics when I get the hang of it

Hi there, its really good on this forum everyone is so friendly and full of advise, whenever you need it.
Sounds like you've really got into bettas, iv been keeping them for over 2 years and in that time i have around 20 female bettas, 15 males all of different tail types but mainly HMPK, i also have 4 month old fry and a recent spawn that is almost a week old.
Cant wait to see your bettas we love photos on here...**hint hint** lol!

Re: Hi there
Do you have an extra house for all those. I'm guessing after I've done a spawn off of each pair, grown out the spawn and seperated them, then I'm going to have to select the few i want to spawn on and sell on or give away the rest. guess it depends how many survive from fry.

Sounds like a good plan
