has any1 ever used this and is it any good as have been given a unopened bottle from a friend.

I've never used that one before but would if you use it, it would be interesting to get your opinion of it.

I use Easylife products on my planted tank and have had very good results.

I'm using the EI method using dry salts, cheaper in the long run and I can see a considerable growth despite only being on my 4th day of it. Plants are looking very healthy now!

API is brilliant. I've used it before and would do again if needed.
