Tank dividers

Post by Assaye on Mon Aug 03, 2009 9:15 am

I want to make some cheap and cheerful tank dividers. Got 2 60 lite tanks and I plan to divide the long one up for 3-4 bettas. Any ideas?

Also, how well do bettas do in tall tanks?

Hi
By tall, how tall? 18 - 20" is fine.

I know some people have used sheets of something from craft shops. Cant remember what it is though lol. They use little suction cups to hold them in. I'm sure someone on here has done it and can furnish the correct way to do it:)

I prefer to use A4 paper binders than suction cups. I use aquarium sealant to hold them in place.

I have used black needlepoint backing and binder spines. both are very cheap and available at craft stores and office stores. however I no longer recomend the suction cup method. as I have found that the suction cups get hard and no longer stick after a long time in the warm water. just a dab of silicon at the spots where you would have used suction cups is perfect.

heres a pic of a tank done like that.
